Role of Null Condition in Higher Dimensional Gravitational Collapse
Abstract
In the present work, we investigate the nature of the central singularity arising in the higher dimensional dust collapse. To this end, we solve the radial null geodesic equation in higher dimension using the null condition. We have developed a mathematical approach to generalize the earlier work in four dimensional spacetimes to the five dimensions. It is pointed out that the results on the nature of the outgoing radial geodesics in 4D case can be extended essentially in the same manner in 5D cases also.
